The counselors at Take Charge 4 America receive their certification through The Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE). AFCPE is a non-profit professional organization created to promote the education and training of professionals in financial management.
Take Charge 4 America's counselors receive certification as Accredited Credit Counselors from AFCPE. Certified individuals must meet education, experience, and ethical requirements.
Our counselors complete additional training in personal finance and counseling skills throughout their employment at Take Charge America to constantly update and improve their skills.
Each counselor must pass the certification exam with a 70% proficiency level. In addition, continuing education is required to maintain the certificate. Close
